Black Stars captain, Andre Dede Ayew, has won four honours at Swansea City’s end-of-season awards on Thursday night, including the Player of the Season award for the 2019/20 campaign.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian international had the most votes to win the Supporters’ Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season, Away Player of the Season and finished the night as Top Goalscorer of the Season with 18 goals

The virtual awards ceremony was held this year, as the original awards event, in conjunction with the Executive Fundraising Committee and Supporters Trust, was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dede Ayew put on outstanding performances for the Welsh club this season, coming close to helping the club make a return to the Premier League.

Unfortunately, Swansea lost out to Brentford in the play-off semi-finals over two legs.

Following Dede’s achievement, Black Stars coach, CK Akunnor, congratulated the Ghana captain in a Twitter post, saying: “Congrats Andre Ayew. Well deserved, Keep it up.”

The Ghanaian midfielder has attracted interest from several clubs, including PSG, for his performances this season amidst rumours of a possible exit from the club this summer.
