Accra Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson has said the team have learnt their lessons and cannot afford further slips this season.

The Phobians recorded their win in the Ghana Premier League in five matches after a 1-0 win against Elmina Sharks at the Nduom Sports Complex.

Gladson Awako scored on his debut for the League champions who are recovering from their elimination in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

By virtue of their win in Elmina, Hearts of Oak have moved two places from the bottom of the standings to 16th on 6 points.

“I think we are learning our lessons and I don’t think we can allow further slips. The results will equally tell you that we are in for business and you saw our results from last season. Let’s keep watching the game, football is always about 90minute”, Nelson told Class Sports.

The Phobians have three outstanding matches against Berekum Chelsea, Medeama and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Up next for Hearts is a home match against Accra Lions on Sunday, 19 December 2021, which has been moved to the Cape Coast Stadium due to the unavailability of the Accra Sports Stadium.
