We’ve only NPP supporters; no Ken or Bawumia supporters – Ken Agyapong

Member of Parliament for Assin Central district and past New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, stressed the value of unity within the Party in a powerful message on his birthday.

He asserted that there are just “NPP supporters,” not “Ken Agyapong supporters” or “Bawumia supporters.”

Known for being frank, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong gave this speech in his campaign headquarters in Accra on the occasion of his 64th birthday.

He started by expressing regret to his core followers for not having told them clearly enough about his choice to join Dr. Bawumia’s campaign in Kumasi and urging them to understand that party unity is what will determine whether they win.

Nonetheless, he made a plea to Dr. Bawumia’s campaign team and followers to accept his offer of peace and to stop harassing him and his followers.

In front of NPP chairman Mr. Stephen Ayensu Ntim, Ken underlined the value of prioritizing party unity over individual allegiance and urged all party members to put aside their differences in order to work toward the united objective of “Breaking the 8.”

Honorable Agyapong emphasized that NPP supporters should put aside any disagreements that may have arisen during the presidential primaries and instead unite and consolidate their efforts.

The NPP’s appeal for unity comes at a crucial moment when political parties all over the world are struggling with internal strife.

Acknowledging this, Agyapong emphasized that keeping the party strong and ensuring ongoing electoral success depend on putting up a united front.

Many party members, who understand the need of maintaining harmony and unity within the NPP, found great resonance in Ken’s statement.

Agyapong’s message is a rallying cry for the party as it prepares for the 2024 elections, emphasizing the need for a united front to win.

His plea for reconciliation emphasizes that, regardless of personal affiliations or competing aspirations, NPP members should always remain dedicated to the party’s collective success above all else.

The onus is now on party members to respond to this rallying call to welcome constructive criticism and join forces to achieve electoral success in 2024.
